Event ID: 14599 Can not create lock file.

Phenomenon

The following event is output to Event Viewer.

Can not create lock file.

Lock file path : iid-ad-connector.lock
open iid-ad-connector.lock: Access is denied.

Description

Failed to create a lock file.

Cause

The cause could be any of the following reasons.

  • Operators of Directory Sync do not have a file write privilege
  • Because Directory Sync has been executed by a different user, the different user owns the lock file.
Support

Check the following.

  • Check whether a write privilege of users executed by Directory Sync is configured correctly
  • Check whether Directory Sync has been executed by a different user
    If this is the case, the lock file will be deleted by executing recovery_mode_dry_run.bat by a user who has a write privilege.
