Cancelling Reverse Zones
This section describes handling of NS records for transfer at the time of cancellation of reverse zones.
If IIJ is the organization that assigns IP addresses for reverse zones, IIJ will delete the NS records for transfer from the high-level name server at the time of zone cancellation.
However, when you use the services marked with "▲" shown in the table below together with reverse zones and NS records consist of nothing but name servers of companies other than IIJ, IIJ will not delete the NS records.

If even one authority name server of IIJ is included in the NS records for transfer, all the NS records will be deleted.
An authority name server of IIJ is a name server that you were using with the Managed DNS Server.
The Managed DNS Server varies from customer to customer, so refer to "About Managed DNS Servers."
The name servers that would be used for the old DNS Outsourcing Service and DNS Secondary Service are dns-a.iij.ad.jp, dns-b.iij.ad.jp, and dns-c.iij.ad.jp.
If the organization that assigns IP addresses for reverse zones is a company other than IIJ, NS records will not be deleted for this service.

When a customer who was using a service marked with "▲" and reverse zones together wishes to cancel DPF and migrate this service to a DNS service of another company, please change the NS records before cancelling DPF and this service.
In so doing, it is not recommended that you include IIJ’s authority name server, as described above.
