Addresses of Managed DNS Servers

When you apply for a name server, make sure to register the host name of the Managed DNS Server using an external name. (If you register it using your zone internal name, the name may not be resolved.)
Address Set by Your Primary Name Server When This Service Is Used as a Secondary Name Server
Set access permission with respect to a zone transfer request from the following IP address range.
| Zone transfer access permission range | IPv4 | 210.130.1.32/27 |
|---|---|---|
| IPv6 | 2001:240:bb81::2:0/112 |
Configure the setting to send DNS NOTIFY to the following IP address. Note that you need to set servers that are different from the Managed DNS Servers.
| DNS NOTIFY destination address | IPv4 | 210.130.1.35 |
|---|---|---|
| IPv6 | 2001:240:bb81::2:35 |
Configure the settings to respond to DNS response with TCP and UDP from the following IP address range.
[ Note ]
If your Primary Name Server is published on the Internet, no additional settings are required.
If the access permission range is limited excessively, there is a possibility that name resolution will end in a failure. Configure the appropriate settings according to your environment.
Even when the hidden master configuration in which your Primary Name Server is unpublished on the Internet is adopted and access is limited for security reasons, configure the settings in such a manner as to always respond to DNS response requirements from IIJ’s equipment. If access is limited, zone transfer may not be performed properly.
In addition, check not only the DNS server settings but also the settings of network equipment such as a firewall.
