Restrictions on Users to Whom External IDs were Set

This setting enables/disables the ability of users synchronized with upstream user stores, such as directory services, to change and reset their passwords from within this service.

Do not allow password changes on the console page

Users configured with external IDs cannot change or reset their passwords via IIJ ID Console.
Select this when this service synchronizes passwords with upstream user stores.

If not allowed, change passwords on the upstream user store and then synchronize this information with this service.

  1. Click "System" and then "System Information."


  2. Under "Restrictions on users to whom external ID was set," select either "Do not allow password changes on the console page" or "Allow password changes on the console page" and then click "Update."
