Features
SaaS applications are used more and more due to their ease of use. Effectively managing SaaS in enterprises can reduce business costs and improve productivity. However, managing SaaS used by employees (hereinafter, "users") is cumbersome for companies, and so each user must manage an ID and password for every application.
The IIJ ID Service (hereinafter, "this service") provides ID management and single sign-on (SSO) capability for applications. This service is designed for use by corporate information system departments to ensure better information security for employees as part of corporate governance (compliance). The systems that provide this service are distributed via our data centers in east and west Japan. As such, this service will remain online even when one system is down due to a disaster or other reason.
You can also synchronize account information from your directory services. This service supports Active Directory and OpenLDAP synchronization.
In addition, this service can be used for federation with Microsoft 365 and SAML 2.0- and OpenID Connect-compliant cloud services by subscribing to the Premium Federation Option. You can also add multi-factor authentication to the login process by subscribing to the Multi-Factor Authentication Option. Multi-factor authentication helps to prevent unauthorized access to your applications. Refer to the "Options" section in "Configuration" for more information on these available options.
